You know what's pretty crazy? You really cannot love someone else until you love yourself.
If you don't love yourself first you get all jealous and weird and insecure when other people succeed or are cooler than you or prettier than you or whatever your not "good enough" in.
You are SO good enough. Believe it, I beg you and beg myself and repeat this phrase outloud to myself pretty much every 5 seconds.
Gosh, it's so dang important to be your own biggest cheerleader. You gotta tell yourself all the good things you tell other people. Be so gentle and so loving with yourself FIRST. You will love others in freedom and out of the overflow and be able to celebrate and love well.
I think I have probably told every single person this because it's SO GOOD...You have to figure out what type of mom/dad you are and run with your strengths. Don't worry about being a parent version of someone else because you DO YOU and don't need to be anyone else. You don't have to be the creative/organic/whatever mom if you aren't. Be the sporty mom if that's what you do best. Go big with what you have and don't worry about what everyone else is good at, unless you are celebrating their strengths!
I'm a Target girl, in general. Most everything I need in life I can get there, if it's on sale..even better. I know Wal Mart is cheaper, but until Walmart has starbucks and popcorn smell and those big red balls in the front that just make me feel good, Target it is. All this to say, I don't splurge on much. But OMG. Hair care. A good freakin shampoo and conditioner changes my day. My hair has always been something I have been insecure about and have often referred to the texture as "hay." lol. Please. Splurge if you can on this. It's just the best and I look forward to washing my hair every night. Okay, now I sound pathetic, but I had to share.
Bye and much love.
